Even if you use an immersion heater for your hot water during the summer, always run your boiler on both heating and hot water for at least 5 minutes every couple of weeks to keep all of the parts working freely. Also, regularly turn each thermostatic radiator valve from maximum to minimum and then back to your chosen setting to stop it seizing.
